Our trip. In red – way up, in green – descent

Today we went to Pointe de Sur Cou (1809 m) in the massif Bornes – Aravis. Actually it was a course for beginners organized by UniGe. I am not a beginner but since I did not have company it was a chance for me to go to the mountains. Moreover the course was guided by Michel Piola and it is always a pleasure to go with him.

There are two main ways to Pointe de Sur Cou, from Orange and from Beffay. We went to Pointe de Sur Cou: Versant NE, depuis le Beffay. First 200 m we had to go by foot, but later the snow coverage became not bad.

We had a very quite way up. In fact nobody came from our side. However there were a lot of people from the side of Orange. The snow was very good and we had a very pleasant descend.
